Pseudo Explosion

To get started with your fun exploding science experiments, try one that doesn't precisely explode, as the sound may scare your child at first. Putting dry ice into some warm water produces gas and water vapor so rapidly that it is visible. It gives an eerie smoky effect. You can commonly buy dry ice at an ice cream store. Teach your child not to hold the dry ice, as it is commonly cold sufficient to hurt them. Demonstrate how this kind of ice is different from quarterly ice because it doesn't melt into a liquid, it just evaporates into the air. That is because it isn't made out of water, but of carbon dioxide.

Pretend to concoct incommunicable potions with your dry ice, and watch it bubble over water. This experiment is best to teach right before Halloween so you and your child can come up with color ideas for water. Place differently colored jars of water colse to your lawn or front porch and drop in some dry ice. This will create a spooky consequent colse to your home, perfect for the scary holiday!

Soda Fountain

One of the most preponderant fun exploding science experiments is the soda fountain. Clarify to your child how soda is filled with carbon dioxide gas that is related to the liquid of the soda. When you drop in a whole roll of Mentos candy into the soda, the tiny holes in the candy reacts with the carbon dioxide in the soda, forcing the gas up and out of the bottle. Place a liter of soda in the middle of your garden and have your kids get ready to dance colse to the fountain. Drop in the roll of Mentos candies and watch it work! While it isn't a huge explosion, it's a lot of fun!

Bag Burst

This fun exploding science experiment uses the same system used by the first-rate erupting volcano science fair project. Take a two tablespoons of baking soda and wrap it up in some tissue paper. Then grab a zip lock bag and put in half a cup of warm water followed by a cup of vinegar. Zip the bag up partially then put it in the center of your garden, put in the tissue with baking soda and zip the bag up the rest of the way. Stand back, because the bag will develop till it explodes!

The bag explodes because once the baking soda an vinegar interact, they yield carbon dioxide gas which fills the bag until the only way out is for it to explode! As we can see, carbon dioxide was used in all these fun exploding science experiments. To make this a true day of learning, try to shape out what it is about carbon dioxide that allows it to do any of the three experiments just discussed!

The KitchenAid Food Processor vs the Blender

The KitchenAid Food Processor vs the Blender

When most citizen think of smoothies and icy drinks, they typically think of the blender. The blender has long been a staple of kitchens and bars everywhere. It can chop ice, it can puree soups and salsas and it can even chop up fruits and vegetables into fine pieces. However, if you've never used a KitchenAid food processor before, you'll be surprised to find out that a can do many things a blender can't.

Put side by side, they don't look that different. Both have a stockroom where the food is chopped or pureed, and there is a motor in the base that is controlled by a switch or a series of buttons. But that's where the similarities end.

Blenders

It's common knowledge that blenders are great at blending things, obviously. They are exquisite for any kind of cold or icy drinks where you have to add ice to give it a tiny thickness and texture. Blenders are great at crushing ice, provided it's a good one, and it's rare to find a kitchen without one. Bodybuilders use them for protein shakes, cooks use them for salsas and gravies and kids use them for milkshakes.

However, when it comes to blenders, they beyond doubt can't hold up against food processors when it comes to more solid foods. Have you ever put a whole apple into a blender to see what would happen? The apple does get chopped, but it's often halfway done. The blender's just not effective when it comes to solid foods. That's why many citizen prefer the food processor over the blender, for a whole of reasons.

Food Processors

These are designed for solid foods. You can chop, mince, slice and even puree vegetables, fruits, cheeses, bread, and any other solid food you feel like sticking into the chamber. If you stuck all those things into a blender, you'd likely end up with a mess. With a these, you have varied functions that allow you to tackle many solid food jobs. Instead of hand chopping broccoli or celery, for instance, you can just use the food processor. What's more, you can also use these to make all your favorite smoothies, protein shakes, gravies and salsas, too.

It would appear that the KitchenAid Food Processor can do everything the blender can do and more. It's a surprise that more homes, bars and restaurants don't put them to use. With all they can do, they should be a staple of any kitchen, commercial or residential, for they are the classic appliance when it comes to preparation foods the way you want them.
